Description

A quick, easy, and beginner-friendly air fried bananas recipe that’s perfect as a sweet snack or a topping for breakfasts and desserts.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 bananas
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Peel the bananas and slice them into 1/2 inch thick rounds.
  2. Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl, heating in 20-second intervals until fully melted.
  3. In a medium bowl, mix the brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  4. Add the banana slices to the bowl with the dry ingredients, pour the melted butter over them, and gently toss to coat.
  5. Place the coated banana slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  6. Air fry at 375°F for 4 to 5 minutes until golden and caramelized.
  7. Serve immediately for the best texture and flavor.

Notes

  • Use bananas that are ripe but still firm to avoid mushiness.
  • Preheat the air fryer for even cooking and better caramelization.
  • Slice bananas at least 1/2 inch thick to maintain structure.
  • Lightly spray the air fryer basket with nonstick spray to prevent sticking.
  • Reheat leftovers in the air fryer for 2–3 minutes for best results.
