grape salad

Grape Salad

This grape salad is a quick and easy dish made with fresh grapes, rich cream cheese, tangy sour cream, and crunchy pecans, all coated in a sweet vanilla dressing. Perfect for any gathering!

  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: 10-12 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 16 oz. sour cream
  • 16 oz. cream cheese
  • 1 cup sugar
  • Couple squirts of pure vanilla
  • Approx. 4 lbs. green seedless grapes
  • Approx. 4 lbs. red seedless grapes
  • Maybe 4 cups pecans
  • 1 quart strawberries

Instructions

  1. Blend the cream cheese and sugar together. Start by mixing the cream cheese and sugar until smooth. This creates the creamy base that makes the salad so delicious.
  2. Add the sour cream and vanilla. Stir in the sour cream and vanilla to the mix. The vanilla gives the salad a light, sweet aroma.
  3. Fold in the grapes, pecans, and strawberries. Gently fold in the green and red seedless grapes, pecans, and strawberries. Ensure all the fruits are coated evenly with the creamy mixture.
  4. Garnish. Save a little bit of the fruit and pecans to sprinkle on top for an attractive garnish.

Notes

  1. Substitute Ingredients: If you want a healthier version, swap out the regular cream cheese and sour cream for low-fat versions. You can also replace sugar with Splenda or another sweetener to make it more diet-friendly.
  2. Fruit Variations: You don’t have to limit this salad to just grapes and strawberries. Feel free to get creative with other fruits like apples, blueberries, or pineapple. Just remember, if you’re using apples, give them a quick lemon juice and water bath to prevent browning.
  3. Add a Sweet Twist: For a more dessert-like version, sprinkle some brown sugar on top for an extra layer of sweetness.
