Description

These bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers are spicy, creamy, and cheesy appetizers wrapped in crispy bacon – perfect for game days, BBQs, and parties.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 jalapeno peppers (3-4 inches long)
  • 1 block (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 12 slices bacon (regular cut, not thick cut)
  • Cooking spray


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with foil and spray with cooking spray.
  2. Cut jalapenos in half lengthwise and remove seeds and ribs.
  3. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, cheddar cheese, onion powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  4. Fill each jalapeno half with the cheese mixture.
  5. Cut bacon slices in half and wrap each filled jalapeno with a half slice of bacon. Secure with a toothpick if needed.
  6. Place on the baking sheet and bake for 20–25 minutes until bacon is crispy and browned.
  7. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Use gloves when handling jalapenos to avoid irritation.
  • For less spice, remove all seeds and ribs. For more heat, leave some in.
  • Poppers can be assembled ahead of time and stored in the fridge up to 8 hours before baking.
  • Bake poppers before freezing for best texture and reheat in the oven or air fryer.
