Description

Easy baked cheeseburger sliders made with juicy beef, melty cheese, and soft Hawaiian rolls. Perfect for beginners looking for a quick and tasty sheet pan dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 2 teaspoons ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 white onion, diced
  • 12 Hawaiian rolls
  • 12 slices cheese (cheddar, Swiss, pepper jack, or provolone)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (optional for glaze)
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt (for glaze)
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar (for glaze)
  • 3 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce (for glaze)
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard (for glaze)
  • 1/2 tablespoon sesame seeds (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix ground beef, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  2. Press the beef into the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish. Bake for 20 minutes, then drain the liquid.
  3. In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the diced onions in olive oil until translucent, then drain any excess oil.
  4. Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally and place the bottom half in the baking dish.
  5. Layer the cooked beef, sautéed onions, and cheese slices over the rolls, then top with the remaining roll halves.
  6. Mix melted butter with brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, and sesame seeds. Brush over the tops of the rolls.
  7. Bake for an additional 20 minutes until golden and melty. Slice and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use lean beef to minimize excess grease.
  • Drain the beef and onions well to prevent soggy sliders.
  • Tent the rolls with foil if they brown too quickly.
  • Customize with different cheeses or ground meats.
  • Sliders can be assembled ahead and baked fresh when needed.
