Description

These easy baked churros are a quick, delicious dessert made with flaky puff pastry, dipped in melted butter, and rolled in cinnamon sugar. They’re oven-baked, not fried, and ready in just 15 minutes—perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth without the mess of deep frying.


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Place the thawed puff pastry on a cutting board. Cut it in half lengthwise, then cut each half into 1-inch wide strips. You should have 18–22 strips total.
  3. Arrange the strips on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 8–10 minutes, or until golden brown.
  4. While churros are baking, melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix the cinnamon and sugar together.
  6. Let the baked churros cool slightly, then dip each into the melted butter and roll in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until fully coated.
  7. Place churros back on the baking sheet to set. Serve warm or at room temperature.
