Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground Italian sausage
  • 1/2 white onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (18 to 22-ounce) package frozen cheese tortellini
  • 1 (14 to 16-ounce) jar pizza sauce
  • 1 (10.5-ounce) can condensed cheddar cheese soup, undiluted
  • 1 (3.5-ounce) package pepperoni, divided
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 (8-ounce) package shredded mozzarella cheese (2 cups), divided

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Lightly spray a 13×9-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the sausage with the onions until it is cooked through and no longer pink. Add the garlic and cook for 2 minutes. Drain away the grease.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the uncooked tortellini, pizza sauce, cheddar cheese soup, Italian sausage with onions and garlic, about three-quarters of the pepperoni, salt, and half of the shredded mozzarella. Stir to combine.
  4. Pour the mixture into the prepared dish and top with the remaining cheese and leftover pepperoni. Add any other pizza toppings you desire, such as olives or mushrooms.
  5. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and the cheese is melted and golden.
