Description

This Bang Bang Chicken Sandwich combines crispy chicken tenders, crunchy slaw, and a spicy-sweet bang bang sauce on toasted buns—perfect for a quick, flavorful meal.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups thinly sliced red cabbage
  • 1 large carrot, julienned
  • 1/4 cup freshly chopped cilantro
  • 1 recipe bang bang sauce, divided
  • 1 recipe bang bang chicken, prepared and warm (or store-bought breaded chicken tenders)
  • 4 hamburger buns, toasted

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the red cabbage, julienned carrot, chopped cilantro, and 1/4 cup of bang bang sauce. Mix thoroughly to coat the vegetables evenly. Set aside.
  2. Prepare the chicken tenders. If using frozen, cook according to package directions and toss in bang bang sauce while still hot. If using homemade, fry or bake and coat with sauce.
  3. Toast the hamburger buns in a dry skillet or under the broiler until golden brown.
  4. Assemble the sandwich by placing 2–3 chicken tenders on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Top with a generous spoonful of the slaw and an extra drizzle of bang bang sauce.
  5. Place the top bun on each sandwich and serve immediately while warm.
