Bang Bang Salmon Bites are tender, seasoned chunks of salmon tossed in a creamy, spicy homemade bang bang sauce and air fried to crispy perfection. Ready in under 30 minutes, they’re perfect as an appetizer, main dish, or part of a flavorful rice bowl.

- 1 ½ pounds salmon (about 4 filets), skins removed and cut into 1-inch bites
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- ½ cup Thai sweet chili sauce
- 2 teaspoons Sriracha (or more to taste)
- 2 tablespoons honey
- Chives, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 390°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, mix olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Add salmon bites to the bowl and toss gently to coat evenly with the seasoning.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, Thai sweet chili sauce, Sriracha, and honey to make the bang bang sauce.
- Divide the sauce in half. Use one half to toss the seasoned salmon; reserve the other half for drizzling after cooking.
- Arrange salmon bites in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd.
- Air fry for 4–5 minutes, flip the pieces, and cook for another 4–5 minutes, or until the salmon reaches an internal temperature of 140–145°F.
- Transfer to a plate and drizzle with the reserved sauce.
- Garnish with chopped chives and serve immediately.
Notes
- You can bake the salmon at 400°F for 16 minutes instead of air frying. Toss with sauce after baking.
- Use Greek yogurt instead of mayonnaise for a lighter sauce.
- Adjust the Sriracha based on your spice tolerance.
- Do not coat the salmon with sauce before baking—it will burn.
- Store leftover sauce in the fridge for up to a week.
