Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups uncooked egg noodles
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2–3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/4 cup flour
- 2 cups beef broth
- Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the egg noodles in salted water according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Brown the beef and onions in a skillet over medium-high heat, breaking the beef into pieces. Cook until browned, about 10 minutes. Drain excess fat, leaving a couple of tablespoons for flavor.
- Stir in the minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and Italian seasoning. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Sprinkle flour over the beef mixture and stir for 1-2 minutes to eliminate the raw flour taste.
- Gradually pour in beef broth, stirring constantly to dissolve the flour and scrape up browned bits from the pan.
- Simmer for 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the gravy thickens. Add more beef broth if needed.
- Add cooked egg noodles to the skillet, tossing to combine with the beef and gravy. Season with salt and pepper. Serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra vegetables, add mushrooms, bell peppers, or spinach.
- If you prefer a creamier dish, stir in sour cream or cream cheese at the end.
- This dish stores well in the fridge for up to 3 days and can be frozen for up to 3 months.
- Adjust seasonings to taste, adding more Worcestershire sauce or Italian seasoning as desired.
