Description

This easy **beef and noodles** recipe is the perfect quick and comforting meal for busy weeknights. Made with lean ground beef, egg noodles, and a savory gravy, it’s a family favorite that’s ready in under 30 minutes. Whether you keep it simple or add vegetables and cream for extra flavor, this recipe is sure to satisfy.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups uncooked egg noodles
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 23 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the egg noodles in salted water according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Brown the beef and onions in a skillet over medium-high heat, breaking the beef into pieces. Cook until browned, about 10 minutes. Drain excess fat, leaving a couple of tablespoons for flavor.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and Italian seasoning. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Sprinkle flour over the beef mixture and stir for 1-2 minutes to eliminate the raw flour taste.
  5. Gradually pour in beef broth, stirring constantly to dissolve the flour and scrape up browned bits from the pan.
  6. Simmer for 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the gravy thickens. Add more beef broth if needed.
  7. Add cooked egg noodles to the skillet, tossing to combine with the beef and gravy. Season with salt and pepper. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra vegetables, add mushrooms, bell peppers, or spinach.
