Description

A quick and easy appetizer made with just three ingredients—little smokies, bacon, and brown sugar—perfect for parties or beginner cooks.


Ingredients

  • Little smokies sausages – about 1 package
  • Thin-cut bacon – sliced in half
  • Brown sugar – approximately 1/2 to 3/4 cup
  • Toothpicks for securing
  • Optional: Black pepper, paprika, or chili powder for added flavor


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut bacon slices in half. Wrap each little smoky with a half slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick.
  3. Add brown sugar to a zip-top bag and gently shake a few wrapped sausages at a time to coat them.
  4. Place sugar-coated sausages on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Sprinkle any extra brown sugar and optional pepper on top.
  5. Bake for 25–30 minutes until the bacon is crispy and sugar caramelized. For extra crispiness, broil for 2–3 minutes at the end.
  6. Let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.
