Description

Burrito Style Cheeseburger Wraps are a delicious fusion of juicy ground beef, crispy bacon, melted American cheese, and classic burger toppings wrapped in a warm flour tortilla. Perfect for busy weeknights or casual get-togethers, these wraps deliver all the flavors of a cheeseburger in a convenient handheld meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb (500g) Ground Beef (10–12% fat)
  • 1/2 cup (125ml) Beef Stock
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 tsp Cornstarch (or Cornflour)
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
  • Olive Oil, as needed
  • 4 large Flour Tortillas
  • 8 rashers Bacon, cooked to preference
  • 8 slices American Cheese
  • 1/4 head Lettuce, shredded
  • 1 medium Tomato, diced
  • 1/2 medium White Onion, finely diced
  • 4 tbsp Diced Pickles
  • 4 tbsp Burger Sauce

Instructions

  1. In a large frying pan over medium heat, add a drizzle of olive oil and ground beef. Break it apart with a wooden spoon and cook until almost fully browned.
  2. Drain excess fat if needed. Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Continue to cook until fully browned.
  3. Mix cornstarch into beef stock and pour into the pan along with Worcestershire sauce. Simmer until the liquid thickens and the beef becomes glossy but not saucy.
  4. Warm the flour tortillas in the microwave for 10 seconds to make folding easier.
  5. Lay each tortilla on a flat surface and add shredded lettuce, pickles, onions, and diced tomato to the center-bottom.
  6. Drizzle burger sauce over the veggies. Top with two rashers of cooked bacon.
  7. Add a generous spoonful of the cooked beef, then place two slices of American cheese on top.
  8. Fold the bottom of the tortilla over the filling, then fold in the sides and roll tightly like a burrito.
  9. (Optional) Place seam-side down on a hot griddle pan and toast until golden and crispy, rotating to char all sides. Add a pinch of cheese at the seam to seal the wrap if desired.
  10. (Alternative) Bake wrapped burritos in foil at 180°C (356°F) for 15–20 minutes until heated through and slightly crispy.

Notes

  • Cool beef before assembling if making wraps ahead of time to avoid sogginess.
  • Use 10–12% fat ground beef for best juiciness and flavor.
  • Warming tortillas helps prevent cracking when rolling.
  • Grilling seam-side down with cheese at the seam helps seal the wrap.
  • Can be frozen after assembling for up to 2 months.
