Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the yellow cake mix, melted butter, and 1 egg. Stir until a soft dough forms.
- Press about two-thirds of the dough evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan.
- Sprinkle the toffee bits evenly over the dough layer.
- In a saucepan over low heat or in a microwave-safe bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk, chocolate chips, and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth and melted.
- Pour the chocolate mixture evenly over the toffee layer in the pan and spread gently.
- Crumble the remaining dough over the chocolate layer.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the center is set.
- Allow to cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares and serving.
