Description

  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk: creates a gooey, sweet filling
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips: melts into a rich chocolate layer
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract: enhances the overall flavor


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the yellow cake mix, melted butter, and 1 egg. Stir until a soft dough forms.
  3. Press about two-thirds of the dough evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  4. Sprinkle the toffee bits evenly over the dough layer.
  5. In a saucepan over low heat or in a microwave-safe bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk, chocolate chips, and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth and melted.
  6. Pour the chocolate mixture evenly over the toffee layer in the pan and spread gently.
  7. Crumble the remaining dough over the chocolate layer.
  8. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the center is set.
  9. Allow to cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares and serving.
