Description

This Cheesecake Crescent Rolls Casserole is a creamy, buttery dessert featuring layers of flaky crescent dough and a rich cream cheese filling, topped with cinnamon sugar. It’s quick to prepare and perfect for breakfast, brunch, or dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough (8 oz each): provides a flaky, buttery crust
  • 2 (8 oz) blocks cream cheese, softened: creates the creamy cheesecake filling
  • 1 cup granulated sugar: sweetens the cream cheese layer
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract: adds aromatic flavor to the filling
  • 1/4 cup melted butter: used to brush the top for golden crispiness
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon: adds warm spice to the topping
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar (for topping): mixes with cinnamon for a crunchy finish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Unroll one can of crescent dough and press it evenly into the bottom of the dish, sealing seams.
  3. In a bowl, beat softened cream cheese, 1 cup sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the bottom dough layer.
  5. Unroll the second can of crescent dough and place over the filling, sealing seams.
  6. Brush the top with melted butter.
  7. In a small bowl, mix 1 tablespoon cinnamon and 2 tablespoons sugar. Sprinkle over the buttered top.
  8. Bake for 30 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Cool for at least 20 minutes before slicing. Optionally, drizzle with honey before serving.

Notes

  • Use room temperature cream cheese for a smooth filling.
  • Line the baking dish with parchment paper for easier cleanup.
  • You can prepare the casserole ahead and bake when ready to serve.
  • Add fruit preserves between layers for a flavor twist.
  • Cool completely before slicing to ensure clean cuts.
