Ingredients
Scale
- 16 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 8 oz mushrooms, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a medium-sized baking dish.
- Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the 8 oz finely chopped mushrooms and 2 cloves minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 5–7 minutes until the mushrooms soften and the liquid evaporates.
- Remove the mushroom mixture from heat and allow it to cool slightly.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine 16 oz softened cream cheese, 1/2 cup sour cream, and 1/2 cup mayonnaise. Mix until smooth and creamy.
- Stir in the sautéed mushrooms and garlic along with 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese, 1/4 cup chopped green onions, 1 teaspoon dried thyme, and 1 teaspoon dried parsley.
- Season the mixture with 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper and mix until well combined.
- Spread the dip mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes until the dip is bubbly and the top is lightly golden.
- Remove from the oven, let it cool slightly, and serve warm with crackers, toasted baguette slices, or fresh vegetables.
Notes
- Make sure to cook the mushrooms until most of their moisture evaporates to prevent the dip from becoming watery.
- Allow cream cheese to soften at room temperature before mixing to achieve a smooth texture.
- For extra flavor, sprinkle additional mozzarella or Parmesan on top before baking.
- The dip can be assembled up to 24 hours in advance and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
