Description

Cheesy Stuffed Mushroom Dip is a creamy, savory baked appetizer made with sautéed mushrooms, garlic, cream cheese, mozzarella, and Parmesan. This warm and indulgent dip captures the classic flavors of stuffed mushrooms in an easy-to-share dish perfect for parties, gatherings, or game day snacks.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 8 oz mushrooms, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a medium-sized baking dish.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the 8 oz finely chopped mushrooms and 2 cloves minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 5–7 minutes until the mushrooms soften and the liquid evaporates.
  4. Remove the mushroom mixture from heat and allow it to cool slightly.
  5. In a large mixing bowl, combine 16 oz softened cream cheese, 1/2 cup sour cream, and 1/2 cup mayonnaise. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  6. Stir in the sautéed mushrooms and garlic along with 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese, 1/4 cup chopped green onions, 1 teaspoon dried thyme, and 1 teaspoon dried parsley.
  7. Season the mixture with 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper and mix until well combined.
  8. Spread the dip mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  9. Bake for 25–30 minutes until the dip is bubbly and the top is lightly golden.
  10. Remove from the oven, let it cool slightly, and serve warm with crackers, toasted baguette slices, or fresh vegetables.

Notes

  • Make sure to cook the mushrooms until most of their moisture evaporates to prevent the dip from becoming watery.
  • Allow cream cheese to soften at room temperature before mixing to achieve a smooth texture.
  • For extra flavor, sprinkle additional mozzarella or Parmesan on top before baking.
  • The dip can be assembled up to 24 hours in advance and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
