Description

This Christmas Coffee recipe brings together the warm spices of the season, including cinnamon, cardamom, and nutmeg, creating a cozy, aromatic drink perfect for the holidays. It’s easy to make in your favorite coffee maker and can be topped with whipped cream for an extra festive touch.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup ground dark roast coffee
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 3 teaspoons ground cardamom
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
  • ¼ teaspoon ground allspice
  • 8 cups water
  • Whipped cream (optional, for topping)


Instructions

  1. Place a coffee filter into the basket of your coffee maker.
  2. Add 1 cup of ground dark roast coffee, 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar, 1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon, 3 teaspoons of ground cardamom, ½ teaspoon of ground nutmeg, ¼ teaspoon of ground cloves, and ¼ teaspoon of ground allspice into the coffee filter.
  3. Pour 8 cups of water into the coffee maker and brew the coffee as you normally would.
  4. Once brewed, pour the hot coffee into a mug and top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon sugar, if desired.

Notes

  • This coffee can also be enjoyed iced. Simply brew the coffee, refrigerate it, and serve it over ice with creamer.
  • If you don’t have a coffee maker, you can make this recipe using a French press.
  • Feel free to adjust the sweetness by adding more powdered sugar, depending on your preference.
  • This recipe can be made with decaf coffee if you prefer a caffeine-free version.
