Description

Christmas Popcorn Candy is a festive no-bake holiday treat that combines crunchy popcorn with melted white chocolate, red and green M&Ms, crushed candy canes, and colorful sprinkles. It’s the perfect sweet-and-salty snack for parties, gifting, or cozy movie nights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 10 cups plain popped popcorn (about 1/2 cup unpopped kernels or 2 bags microwave popcorn)
  • 2 cups white chocolate chips or melting wafers
  • 1 cup red & green M&Ms
  • 1/2 cup crushed candy canes
  • 2 tablespoons holiday sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Pop the popcorn using your preferred method. Remove all unpopped kernels.
  2. Spread the popcorn evenly on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. Melt the white chocolate chips or melting wafers in a microwave-safe bowl, using 20–30 second bursts at 50% power, stirring between each until smooth.
  4. Drizzle the melted white chocolate over the popcorn and gently toss with spatulas or spoons to coat evenly.
  5. Immediately sprinkle the M&Ms, crushed candy canes, and sprinkles over the coated popcorn while the chocolate is still wet.
  6. Let the popcorn sit at room temperature for 30 minutes, or refrigerate for 15 minutes, until the chocolate sets.
  7. Once set, break into chunks and serve or package for gifting.

Notes

  • Use plain or natural popcorn—avoid buttered varieties as they affect texture and flavor.
  • Add a pinch of flaky sea salt for a balanced sweet-and-salty finish.
  • Store in an airtight container to maintain crunch and freshness.
  • This recipe is kid-friendly and great for holiday gift bags or cookie swaps.
