Description

This Christmas Popcorn recipe combines the perfect mix of sweet, salty, and festive flavors. Popcorn is coated in creamy white chocolate, complemented by crunchy pretzels, colorful M&Ms, and a touch of peppermint from crushed candy canes. A perfect snack for holiday parties, gift-giving, or cozy family nights. Easy to make and always a crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 10 cups popped popcorn
  • 12 oz white chocolate or vanilla almond bark, melted
  • 1 cup mini pretzels, broken into pieces
  • 1 cup red and green M&Ms
  • 1/4 cup red and green sprinkles
  • 1/2 cup crushed candy canes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pop 10 cups of popcorn and remove any unpopped kernels. Place the popcorn in a large bowl.
  2. Add the broken pretzel pieces, M&Ms, and crushed candy canes (if using) to the bowl with the popcorn.
  3. Melt the white chocolate or almond bark according to package instructions.
  4. Drizzle the melted white chocolate over the popcorn mixture and gently stir to coat everything evenly.
  5. While the white chocolate is still warm, sprinkle the red and green sprinkles over the popcorn mixture and stir gently to distribute.
  6. Spread the coated popcorn mixture onto a large baking sheet in a single layer.
  7. Allow the popcorn to set for 10-15 minutes, or until the white chocolate hardens.
  8. Once set, break the popcorn into clusters and serve. Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.

Notes

  • Ensure to remove any unpopped kernels before mixing in the other ingredients to prevent any hard pieces.
  • You can substitute the candy canes with peppermint baking chips or crushed peppermint hard candies for a different twist.
  • For a dairy-free option, use dairy-free white chocolate or vegan almond bark.
  • If making for a large crowd, you can double the recipe easily.
  • This recipe can be made ahead of time and stored in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
