Description

Cinnamon Apple Cobbler is a warm, comforting dessert that combines the sweetness of fresh apples with a touch of cinnamon and a cake-like batter. Perfect for fall, this easy-to-make dessert is ideal for cozy evenings or gatherings. It’s best served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra indulgence.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 5 Apples
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 6 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup flour
  • ½ cup white sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ¾ cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Wash, peel, and core the apples. Cut them into 1-inch slices and toss with brown sugar and cinnamon in a large bowl.
  3. Place the stick of butter in a baking dish and put it in the oven to melt for about 3 minutes. Remove the dish.
  4. Add the apple mixture to the melted butter in the dish and return it to the oven to bake for about 10 minutes.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix flour, white sugar, baking powder, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  6. Pour the batter evenly over the apples and return the dish to the oven to bake for 40-45 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Let the cobbler cool for 15 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Use firm, tart apples like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp for the best results.
  • If you prefer a gluten-free version, substitute flour with almond or coconut flour.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the fridge.
  • To reheat, microwave individual servings or warm the cobbler in the oven.
