- 5 Apples
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 6 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup flour
- ½ cup white sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- ¾ cup milk
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Wash, peel, and core the apples. Cut them into 1-inch slices and toss with brown sugar and cinnamon in a large bowl.
- Place the stick of butter in a baking dish and put it in the oven to melt for about 3 minutes. Remove the dish.
- Add the apple mixture to the melted butter in the dish and return it to the oven to bake for about 10 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, mix flour, white sugar, baking powder, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Pour the batter evenly over the apples and return the dish to the oven to bake for 40-45 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let the cobbler cool for 15 minutes before serving.

- Use firm, tart apples like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp for the best results.
- If you prefer a gluten-free version, substitute flour with almond or coconut flour.
