Description

Cinnamon Roll French Toast Roll-Ups are a sweet and simple breakfast treat made with soft bread, a cinnamon-sugar filling, and a French toast coating.


Ingredients

  • 10 slices white sandwich bread
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 23 tablespoons butter (for frying)

Instructions

  1. Remove the crusts from the bread slices and flatten each slice with a rolling pin.
  2. Mix melted butter, brown sugar, and 2 tablespoons cinnamon in a small bowl. Spread over each bread slice, leaving a small border.
  3. Roll up each slice tightly and press gently to seal the edge.
  4. In a shallow bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, and vanilla extract to make the batter.
  5. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a bit of butter.
  6. Dip each roll-up in the egg mixture, coat evenly but don’t oversoak.
  7. Place seam-side down in the skillet and cook, turning to brown all sides, about 2–3 minutes total.
  8. Transfer to a plate and serve warm with toppings of your choice.
