Ingredients
Scale
- 3 tablespoons butter, divided
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup milk
- 8 oz. angel hair pasta
- ½ cup Parmesan cheese, finely grated
- Fresh parsley, to garnish (optional)
- ¼ tsp onion powder (optional)
- ¼ tsp oregano (optional)
- ¼ tsp thyme (optional)
- ¼ tsp parsley (optional)
- ¼ tsp pepper (optional)
Instructions
- Melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat in a large skillet.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
- Pour in the chicken broth and optional seasonings, then stir in the milk.
- Bring the liquid to a boil, then add the angel hair pasta. Allow it to soften and use tongs to press it into the liquid.
- Let the pasta simmer for 4–5 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
- Reduce heat to low, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of butter, and toss to coat the pasta.
- Turn off the heat and gradually add the grated Parmesan, stirring continuously until smooth and well combined.
- Let the pasta sit for a few minutes to thicken. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve.
Notes
- Use freshly grated Parmesan for best melt and flavor.
- Turn off the heat before adding cheese to avoid curdling.
- Spaghetti or other pasta can be used—adjust liquid and cooking time accordingly.
- Reheat with a splash of milk to revive the sauce.
