Description
Creamy Velveeta Beef and Bowtie Pasta is the ultimate comfort dish, combining rich Velveeta cheese, savory ground beef, and tender bowtie pasta. This hearty and creamy meal is perfect for busy weeknights or casual family dinners.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 big block of Velveeta cheese, cubed
- 1 (8 oz) block of cream cheese, softened
- 1 can of cream of chicken soup
- 1 can of Rotel tomatoes with chilies, undrained
- 2.25 pounds ground beef
- 1 box of bowtie noodles (farfalle)
- 1 cup reserved pasta water (optional, to adjust sauce consistency)
Instructions
- Bring salted water to a boil in a large pot. Add the bowtie noodles and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain and set the noodles aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Break up the beef into small pieces as it cooks. Drain excess fat if needed.
- Add cubed Velveeta cheese, softened cream cheese, cream of chicken soup, and undrained Rotel tomatoes to the skillet with the beef. Stir over medium heat until the cheeses are melted and the sauce is smooth and creamy.
- Add the cooked bowtie noodles to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. If the sauce is too thick, gradually add reserved pasta water until it reaches your desired consistency.
- Serve the dish warm and enjoy!
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- For extra flavor, top with shredded Parmesan or a sprinkle of red pepper flakes.
- To make this dish spicier, add extra diced chilies or red pepper flakes.
- For a lighter option, use ground turkey or chicken instead of beef.
