Ingredients
- Chicken Breasts – 4 pieces
- Ham Slices – 4 slices
- Swiss Cheese – 4 slices
- All-Purpose Flour – 1/2 cup
- Eggs – 2, beaten
- Breadcrumbs – 1 cup
- Butter – 2 tablespoons (plus more for brushing)
- Heavy Cream – 1 cup
- Dijon Mustard – 1 tablespoon
- Parmesan Cheese – 1/4 cup, grated
- Salt – to taste
- Black Pepper – to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper or light grease.
- Pound each chicken breast to an even ½ inch thickness.
- Place a slice of ham and cheese on each chicken breast, fold the sides in, and roll up tightly. Secure if needed with toothpicks.
- Set up bowls for flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs. Dredge chicken in flour, dip in eggs, and coat in breadcrumbs.
- Place chicken rolls seam-side down on the baking sheet and brush with melted butter.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden brown and cooked through (internal temp 165°F).
- While baking, prepare the sauce: melt butter in a saucepan, whisk in mustard and cream, thicken slightly, then stir in Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper.
- Remove chicken from the oven, rest briefly, then serve drizzled with sauce.
