Description

These Deep-Fried Strawberry Cheesecake Stuffed Wonton Bites feature a crispy golden shell filled with creamy, tangy cheesecake and sweet strawberry jam. A quick, crowd-pleasing dessert that’s indulgent, shareable, and perfect for parties or holidays.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened: adds rich, creamy texture and classic cheesecake flavor
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar: sweetens the filling smoothly without grittiness
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract: enhances the flavor with warm, sweet notes
  • 1/4 cup strawberry jam or preserves: adds fruity sweetness and strawberry flavor
  • 1/4 cup fresh strawberries, diced (optional): offers bursts of real fruit and extra texture
  • 20-24 wonton wrappers: create the crisp, golden shell when fried
  • Water (as needed): used for sealing the wonton edges
  • Vegetable oil (for frying): neutral oil ideal for deep-frying the wontons
  • Whipped cream (optional, for serving): adds light, creamy contrast to the fried bites
  • Extra strawberry jam or sauce (optional, for dipping): enhances fruitiness when served
  • Fresh strawberries, sliced (optional, for garnish): adds freshness and visual appeal

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  2. If desired, gently fold in strawberry jam and diced fresh strawberries for added flavor and texture.
  3. Lay a wonton wrapper on a clean surface and place about 1 teaspoon of the filling in the center.
  4. Moisten the edges with water, fold into a triangle or envelope shape, and press to seal tightly.
  5. Repeat the process with remaining wrappers and filling.
  6. Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet or pot to 350°F (175°C).
  7. Fry wontons in small batches for 1–2 minutes per side until golden and crispy.
  8. Use a slotted spoon to remove and drain on paper towels.
  9. Serve warm with optional whipped cream, strawberry sauce, and fresh berries.

Notes

  • Do not overfill the wontons to prevent leaking during frying.
  • Make sure edges are sealed properly to avoid oil seepage.
  • Use a thermometer to maintain consistent oil temperature.
  • Fry in batches to prevent overcrowding and soggy results.
  • Wontons can be assembled ahead and frozen before frying.
