Description

This Dirty Martini Dip is a creamy, savory appetizer inspired by the classic cocktail. Made with feta, cream cheese, green olives, and a splash of gin, it’s the perfect party starter with bold, briny flavors and a smooth, fluffy texture.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 oz. feta in brine, drained and chopped
  • 2 tbsp. chives, thinly sliced
  • 1 lemon, zested
  • 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp. gin
  • 1 tbsp. dry vermouth
  • 1 1/2 tsp. za’atar seasoning, plus more for garnish
  • 1/4 tsp. kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil, plus more for drizzling
  • 1 cup pitted green olives, torn
  • 2 tbsp. pimento peppers or roasted red peppers, finely chopped
  • Crackers or crostini, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, pulse feta, chives, and lemon zest until the feta is broken into small crumbs (about 10 seconds).
  2. Add cream cheese, gin, vermouth, za’atar, salt, and pepper. Process until smooth and evenly combined.
  3. With the motor running, drizzle in the olive oil and blend until the mixture is smooth and fluffy.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a bowl. Fold in the green olives and pimento peppers until well combined.
  5. Spoon into a serving bowl or divide into individual glasses. Drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with za’atar, and serve with crackers or crostini.

Notes

  • Use high-quality feta in brine for the best flavor and texture.
  • Soften cream cheese before blending for a smoother consistency.
  • Omit alcohol or use non-alcoholic substitutes if preferred.
  • Serve in martini glasses for an elegant party presentation.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
