- 1.5–2 lbs ground beef
- 1 can (10.75 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1 can (10.75 oz) cheddar cheese soup
- 1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
- 1 can (4 oz) diced green chilies
- 2–3 cups shredded Mexican cheese
- 1 packet taco seasoning (optional)
- Sour cream (for garnish)
- Diced green onion (for garnish)
- Sliced cherry tomatoes (for garnish)
- Sliced avocado or guacamole (for garnish)
- Salsa (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Brown the ground beef in a large pan over medium heat. Drain any excess fat. If you’re using taco seasoning, add it now and stir for 2 minutes.
- Add the cream of chicken soup, cheddar cheese soup, evaporated milk, and diced green chilies to the beef mixture. Stir and cook until bubbly.
- Spray a 9×13-inch baking dish with non-stick spray.
- Crush half of the Nacho Cheese Doritos and spread them in the baking dish, leaving some larger pieces.
- Layer half of the beef mixture over the Doritos and then add 1 cup of shredded Mexican cheese on top.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining Doritos, beef mixture, and cheese.
- Bake for 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Notes
- If your Doritos are soggy, break them into slightly larger pieces.
- For leaner meat, use 90% lean ground beef.
- Feel free to use any flavor of Doritos or cheese blend you prefer.
- You can add toppings such as sour cream, diced tomatoes, or guacamole to enhance the flavor.
- For extra spice, add jalapeños or use spicy Doritos.
