Description

This Doritos Taco Salad is a quick and healthy meal that combines seasoned ground beef, fresh vegetables, tangy Catalina dressing, and crunchy nacho cheese Doritos for a flavor-packed dish perfect for potlucks or easy weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb 95% lean ground beef
  • 1 (1.25 oz) packet reduced sodium taco seasoning
  • 1 medium-large head of iceberg lettuce, chopped
  • 1 medium-large tomato, diced
  • 4 oz reduced-fat sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 4 oz nacho cheese Doritos, broken into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup light Catalina or French dressing

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat, breaking it into pieces as it cooks.
  2. Add the taco seasoning to the beef and stir until evenly coated, then remove from heat and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the chopped lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, and seasoned ground beef.
  4. Just before serving, add the Doritos and Catalina dressing, then gently toss the salad until evenly coated.

Notes

  • Add dressing and chips right before serving to keep the salad crunchy.
  • Store components separately if prepping ahead of time.
  • Can substitute ground turkey or meat alternatives for beef.
  • Cool Ranch or baked Doritos are great alternatives.
