Description
These fudgy Dr Pepper Brownies are quick, easy, and perfect for beginners. The soda adds moisture and a subtle cherry-vanilla flavor.
Ingredients
- All-purpose flour – 1 cup
- Granulated sugar – 1 cup
- Unsweetened cocoa powder – 1/2 cup
- Baking powder – 1 teaspoon
- Salt – 1/2 teaspoon
- Dr Pepper soda – 3/4 cup
- Butter – 1/2 cup (melted)
- Chocolate chips – 1/2 cup
- Optional: chopped nuts, sea salt for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease or line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
- In another bowl, mix the melted butter with sugar and Dr Pepper soda until smooth.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until fully mixed. Do not overmix.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and any optional add-ins like nuts.
- Spread the batter evenly in the prepared baking dish and smooth the top.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for at least 20 minutes before slicing and serving.

- Use Dutch-process cocoa for a smoother chocolate flavor.
- Let brownies cool completely for cleaner slicing.
