Description
These easy 4th of July chocolate-covered strawberries are a festive red, white, and blue treat made with just three ingredients—perfect for patriotic celebrations and beginner cooks.
Ingredients
Scale
- 24 strawberries
- 1 cup white candy melts or white chocolate melting wafers
- 1/2 cup red, white, and blue nonpareil sprinkles
Instructions
- Wash the strawberries and pat them completely dry with paper towels. Let them air-dry for 10–15 minutes to remove all moisture.
- Melt the white chocolate or candy melts in a small, deep microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth. Alternatively, use a double boiler method on the stove.
- Hold each strawberry by the stem and dip it two-thirds of the way into the melted chocolate, letting excess drip off.
- Immediately dip the lower third of the chocolate-covered strawberry into the sprinkles to create the red, white, and blue effect.
- Place dipped strawberries on a parchment or wax paper-lined sheet pan, ensuring they don’t touch. Allow to set at room temperature for 30–40 minutes or refrigerate if using white chocolate or in a humid environment.
Notes
- Make sure strawberries are fully dry before dipping to ensure chocolate sticks.
- Use white candy melts for faster setting, or white chocolate for a richer taste.
- Refrigerate if using white chocolate or if your environment is humid.
- Best enjoyed the same day they are made for ideal texture and flavor.
