Description
This easy ham and cheese croissant bake is a beginner-friendly recipe made with flaky croissants, savory ham, melted cheese, and a honey mustard glaze—perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a quick meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 6 large croissants, sliced in half lengthwise
- 12 thin slices good quality deli ham
- 12 slices Swiss cheese
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1/2 tbsp everything bagel seasoning
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice each croissant in half horizontally and place the bottom halves in a greased baking dish.
- Layer each croissant bottom with two slices of ham and two slices of Swiss cheese. Place the tops back on to form sandwiches.
- In a small bowl, mix together melted butter, honey, and Dijon mustard. Brush this glaze evenly over the tops of the croissants.
- Sprinkle everything bagel seasoning over the glazed croissants.
- Bake for 15–17 minutes until the croissants are golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly. If they brown too quickly, cover loosely with foil.
- Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and serve warm.
Notes
- Use slightly stale croissants for better texture and to prevent sogginess.
- Choose high-quality deli meats and cheeses for optimal flavor.
- You can substitute Swiss cheese with cheddar, provolone, or mozzarella.
- To freeze, wrap baked croissants tightly and store for up to 3 months.
- Reheat in the oven at 300°F for 5–7 minutes or in the microwave for 20 seconds.
