Ingredients
Scale
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1/2 tsp ground turmeric
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp echinacea powder (optional)
- 1 tbsp green tea leaves (or 1–2 green tea bags)
Instructions
- Mix the ingredients: In a small bowl, combine the honey, lemon juice, ginger, turmeric, cinnamon, and echinacea powder (if using). Stir everything together until it forms a smooth mixture.
- Fill the molds: Using a teaspoon, scoop the mixture into silicone molds. Small, round molds work best for this recipe, but you can get creative with shapes if you’d like.
- Add the green tea leaves: After filling the molds, sprinkle green tea leaves on top. If you’re using tea bags, cut them open and use the loose tea leaves. Press them lightly into the mixture to ensure they stick.
- Freeze the tea bombs: Place the silicone mold in the freezer and let the tea bombs solidify for about 1 to 2 hours.
- Store and use: Once frozen, pop the Flu/Cold Tea Bombs out of the mold and store them in an airtight container in the freezer. When you’re ready for some tea, drop one bomb into a mug of hot water and stir until dissolved.
Notes
- Use organic ingredients: Whenever possible, choose organic honey, ginger, turmeric, and green tea for the purest, most effective tea bombs.
- Sweeten to taste: If you prefer a sweeter tea, add a touch more honey to the mixture.
- Add variations: You can experiment with other immune-boosting ingredients like elderberry powder, rosehip, or peppermint leaves for added flavor and health benefits.
- Make it stronger: For a more potent cup, use two tea bombs instead of one.
