Description

Frozen Hot Chocolate is a rich, creamy, and refreshing drink perfect for any season. It combines the nostalgic taste of traditional hot cocoa with the frosty indulgence of a milkshake. Quick to make and fully customizable, it’s a crowd-pleasing treat for kids and adults alike.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3½ cups ice: Provides the frosty texture essential to this blended drink
  • 2 cups milk (dairy or non-dairy): Adds creaminess and body to the beverage
  • 4 packets hot cocoa mix: Delivers the chocolate flavor base
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate syrup: Enhances the richness and sweetness
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract: Adds a warm, aromatic depth
  • Whipped cream, for topping: A classic creamy finish
  • Extra chocolate syrup (optional): For drizzling over the whipped cream

Instructions

  1. Place your serving glasses in the freezer to chill while preparing the drink.
  2. In a high-powered blender, combine 3½ cups of ice, 2 cups of milk, 4 packets of hot cocoa mix, 2 tablespoons of chocolate syrup, and 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract.
  3. Blend on high until the ice is completely crushed and the mixture is smooth and creamy. Pulse and stir if needed.
  4. Remove the chilled glasses from the freezer and pour in the frozen hot chocolate mixture.
  5. Top with whipped cream and a drizzle of chocolate syrup.
  6. Serve immediately with a straw and spoon.

Notes

  • Use whole milk for a creamier consistency.
  • For a dairy-free version, use almond, oat, or coconut milk and coconut whipped cream.
  • Freeze milk into cubes for a thicker, creamier blend without watering it down.
  • Use high-quality cocoa mix for best flavor.
  • Leftovers can be frozen and re-blended or turned into popsicles.
