Ingredients
Ingredients
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 8 ounces pasta (spaghetti, fettuccine, or your choice)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
Instructions
-
Prepare the Chicken: Start by seasoning the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side. Once done, set aside and let it rest.
-
Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain the pasta, reserving a cup of the pasta water.
-
Make the Sauce: In the same skillet used for the chicken, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Lower the heat and gradually add the grated Parmesan cheese, stirring continuously until the cheese has melted and the sauce has thickened.
-
Combine: Slice the rested chicken into strips. Add the cooked pasta to the sauce, tossing to coat. If the sauce is too thick, add some of the reserved pasta water to reach your desired consistency. Add the chicken strips on top.
-
Serve: Garnish with chopped parsley and additional Parmesan cheese if desired. Serve hot and enjoy!
