Steak Bites:
- 1 lb steak, cut into cubes
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
Aged White Cheddar Mash:
- 4 large potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 cup aged white cheddar cheese, grated
- Salt and pepper to taste
Green Beans:
- 1 lb green beans, trimmed
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
For the Steak Bites:
- Season the steak cubes with salt and pepper.
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tbsp butter.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
- Add the steak cubes and cook until browned on all sides and cooked to your desired doneness.
- Remove from heat and set aside.
For the Aged White Cheddar Mash:
- Boil the potatoes in salted water until tender.
- Drain and return to the pot.
- Add milk, 1/4 cup butter, and the grated cheddar cheese.
- Mash until smooth and creamy.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
For the Green Beans:
- In a separate skillet, heat 1 tbsp olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the green beans and cook until tender but still crisp, seasoning with salt and pepper.
To Serve:
- Plate the creamy aged white cheddar mash.
- Top with garlic butter steak bites.
- Serve with the green beans on the side.
Notes
- For a healthier twist, use low-fat milk and cheese in the mash.
- The steak bites can be cooked to your preference, from rare to well-done.
- Fresh herbs like parsley or thyme can be added for extra flavor.
