Description

Heavenly Lemon Oreo Dessert is a no-bake treat that combines the rich flavor of golden Oreos, the creamy texture of cream cheese and Cool Whip, and the refreshing tang of lemon pudding. This dessert is perfect for any occasion, offering a sweet and zesty bite with a crunchy crust.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (14.3 ounces) Golden Oreo cookies
  • 1/2 cup salted butter, melted
  • 2 packages (3.4 ounces each) instant lemon pudding mix
  • 3 ¼ cups milk
  • 2 containers (8 ounces each) Cool Whip, thawed
  • 1 block (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Crush the Golden Oreo cookies in a food processor or with a rolling pin in a large ziplock bag. Reserve 3/4 cup for the topping.
  2. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish generously with non-stick spray. Pour the remaining crushed Oreos into the prepared dish, spreading evenly.
  3. Pour the melted butter over the crushed Oreos and mix gently. Press it into the bottom of the pan to form a crust, being careful not to compact it too much.
  4. In a medium bowl, combine the lemon pudding mixes and milk. Whisk until well-combined, then place the bowl in the fridge for 5 minutes to thicken.
  5. In a separate bowl, blend the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar and mix until combined. Fold in one container of Cool Whip, then spread it evenly over the Oreo crust.
  6. Spread the lemon pudding evenly over the cream cheese layer.
  7. Spread the remaining Cool Whip over the lemon pudding layer and sprinkle with the reserved crushed Oreos.
  8. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving. Cut into squares and enjoy!

Notes

  • If you prefer a stronger lemon flavor, add a teaspoon of lemon zest to the cream cheese or Cool Whip layer.
  • Ensure the pudding has thickened properly before layering it for a firmer texture.
  • Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to let the dessert set and achieve the best texture.
  • If using fresh whipped cream instead of Cool Whip, ensure it’s thick enough to hold its shape on top.
