Description

These Hot Italian Sub Sliders are a quick and flavorful twist on the classic Italian sandwich. Stacked with ham, salami, pepperoni, melty provolone cheese, and tangy peppers, they are baked to perfection with a buttery Italian-seasoned topping. Perfect for parties, game days, or easy weeknight meals, these sliders are a crowd-pleasing favorite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 slider buns (Hawaiian rolls)
  • 12 slices ham
  • 12 slices salami
  • 12 slices large pepperoni
  • 6 slices provolone cheese
  • ½ cup roasted red peppers, sliced
  • ½ cup banana peppers, sliced
  • ¼ cup butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • Marinara sauce for dipping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 350°F and lightly grease a baking dish to prevent sticking.
  2. Assemble the sliders: Slice the slider buns in half, placing the bottom halves into the prepared baking dish. Evenly layer the ham, salami, and pepperoni over the buns. Place the provolone cheese on top, followed by the roasted red peppers and banana peppers.
  3. Top and season: Place the remaining bun halves on top of the assembled ingredients. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter and Italian seasoning, then brush the mixture evenly over the tops of the buns.
  4. Bake the sliders: Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the sliders are heated through. For extra crispiness, remove the foil during the last 5 minutes of baking.
  5. Serve and enjoy: Remove from the oven and brush with additional melted butter if desired. Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • Make-Ahead Tip: Assemble the sliders ahead of time and refrigerate until ready to bake.
  • Crispier Buns: For a crispier texture, toast the bottom buns before adding the ingredients.
  • Customization: Feel free to swap meats, cheeses, or add extras like sautéed onions or black olives.
