Ingredients
Scale
- 24 Black Olives
- 1 Medium Cucumber (cut into slices)
- 6 ounces Cream Cheese (softened)
- 1/4 cup Sour Cream
- 1/4 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1/4 tsp Onion Powder
- 1/4 cup Chopped Green Onions
- 2 tbsp Dried Chives
- Salt (to taste)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, chives, green onions, and salt. Mix well until smooth.
- Place the mixture into a piping tool or Ziploc bag with the corner cut off for easy piping.
- Pipe the cream cheese mixture onto each cucumber slice.
- Place a whole black olive on top of each cucumber slice as the body of the spider.
- Slice the remaining olives in half lengthwise. Cut each half into four slices to create the spider legs.
- Arrange four olive slices on each side of the whole olive to form the spider’s legs.
- Serve immediately or chill before serving for a refreshing touch.
Notes
- Use a piping bag or a Ziploc bag with the corner cut off for easy assembly.
- If you don’t like olives, substitute with thin slices of banana peppers or bell peppers for the spider legs.
- Make these ahead of time and store in an airtight container, but assemble the bites the day of serving to maintain cucumber freshness.
- Add jalapeno slices for a spicy kick if desired.
