Ingredients
Scale
- 12 cups plain popped popcorn (about 1/2 cup unpopped kernels)
- 2 cups white chocolate chips (about 340 g)
- 1 cup green candy melts (about 170 g)
- 1 1/2 cups Lucky Charms cereal
- 1 cup mini marshmallows
- 1 cup mini pretzel twists
- 3/4 cup green and gold candy-coated chocolates
- 2 tablespoons St. Patrick’s Day sprinkles
Instructions
- Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and spread the 12 cups of popped popcorn evenly across the surface, removing any unpopped kernels.
- Place the white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl and melt in 30-second intervals, stirring between each interval, until completely smooth.
- In a separate microwave-safe bowl, melt the green candy melts in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth and fully melted.
- Drizzle the melted white chocolate evenly over the popcorn. Gently toss with a spatula to coat without crushing the popcorn.
- Drizzle the melted green candy over the coated popcorn and lightly toss again to distribute the color throughout the mixture.
- Immediately sprinkle the Lucky Charms cereal, mini marshmallows, pretzels, candy-coated chocolates, and sprinkles over the popcorn while the chocolate is still wet. Lightly press the toppings into the mixture to help them adhere.
- Allow the popcorn to set at room temperature for 30 to 45 minutes, or refrigerate for 15 minutes until the chocolate is fully hardened.
- Once set, break into clusters and serve or store in an airtight container.
Notes
- Use freshly popped popcorn for the best crunchy texture.
- Avoid overheating the chocolate to prevent seizing; stir frequently while melting.
- Work quickly after drizzling the chocolate so toppings stick properly.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
- For a gluten-free version, use certified gluten-free popcorn, cereal, and pretzels.
