Description
This melt-in-your-mouth chicken breast recipe is a tender, juicy chicken dish cooked in a rich, buttery sauce with honey, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and a touch of parsley for garnish. It’s quick to prepare, easy to make, and perfect for a family dinner or a special occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- ¼ cup unsalted butter
- 2 tsp honey
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ¼ cup chicken broth
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a small mixing bowl, combine the butter, honey, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Stir until smooth and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the chicken breasts and cook for 5-6 minutes per side, or until golden and cooked through (internal temp should be 165°F).
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside.
- In the same skillet, add chicken broth to deglaze the pan and scrape up any flavorful bits.
- Stir in the butter mixture and cook, stirring continuously, until the sauce is smooth and bubbly.
- Return the chicken to the skillet and coat it with the sauce. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes to absorb the flavors.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
Notes
- Check the chicken’s internal temperature to ensure it reaches 165°F for proper doneness.
- If you prefer a creamier sauce, you can add heavy cream or coconut milk.
- For extra heat, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the sauce.
- This recipe can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat by simmering on low heat, adding a bit of chicken broth if needed.
