Description

Mummy Pigs in a Blanket are a fun Halloween twist on the classic pigs in a blanket. Hot dogs are wrapped in crescent dough and decorated with candy eyes to create adorable mummy-themed snacks. These easy-to-make treats are perfect for Halloween parties and gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (8 oz) crescent rolls
  • 10 hot dogs (cut in half for bite-sized portions)
  • 1 package candy eyes (for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the crescent roll dough on a lightly floured surface and press the perforations to seal, forming one long rectangle.
  3. Cut the dough into thin (¼-inch) slices.
  4. Wrap the hot dogs with the dough slices, leaving space for the eyes. Place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Bake the mummies in the oven for 12-14 minutes or until the dough is golden brown and crispy.
  6. Once out of the oven, add a little ketchup to the back of the candy eyes and place them on the mummies to finish the spooky look.

Notes

  • For a fun twist, try giving the mummies just one candy eye for a cyclops look.
  • These mummies can be made in the air fryer if you prefer a quicker option.
  • Be sure to wrap the dough tightly around the hot dogs to prevent them from coming apart during baking.
  • If you don’t have candy eyes, you can use mustard or ketchup to create eyes.
