Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup butter, melted: adds richness and binds the base
- 2 cups graham cracker crumbs: provides crunch and structure
- 2 cups confectioners’ sugar: sweetens and stabilizes the bars
- 1 cup + 4 tablespoons peanut butter: creamy flavor base and topping enhancer
- 1 1/2 cups milk chocolate chips: creates a smooth chocolate topping
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine melted butter, graham cracker crumbs, confectioners’ sugar, and 1 cup of peanut butter. Mix until well blended.
- Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of an ungreased 9×13-inch pan. For thicker bars, use a 9×9-inch square pan.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips and the remaining 4 tablespoons of peanut butter.
- Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring each time, until melted and smooth.
- Spread the chocolate-peanut butter mixture evenly over the base layer.
- Refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or until firm enough to cut into squares.
- Slice into bars and serve chilled or at room temperature.
Notes
- Use smooth peanut butter for the best consistency.
- For easier removal, line your pan with parchment paper.
- Bars can be frozen for up to 3 months.
- Substitute graham crackers with gluten-free options for dietary needs.
