- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 can (10.5 oz) water
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 envelope (1 oz) Lipton onion soup mix
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with 1 tablespoon butter to prevent sticking.
- In a medium bowl, combine 2 cups instant rice, 1 can cream of chicken soup, 1 can cream of mushroom soup, and 1 can water. Stir until well mixed.
- Pour the rice and soup mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
- Place the 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts on top of the rice mixture, spacing them evenly.
- Sprinkle the 1 envelope Lipton onion soup mix evenly over the chicken.
- Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil to trap steam during cooking.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 60 to 90 minutes, until the chicken is fully cooked and the rice is tender.
- Remove from the oven and allow the casserole to rest for 5 minutes before serving.
