Description

Oreo Cookie Balls are an easy, no-bake dessert made with just three ingredients: crushed Oreos, cream cheese, and chocolate. These bite-sized treats taste like mini Oreo cheesecakes and are perfect for parties, holidays, or anytime you need a quick sweet fix.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 30 regular Oreo cookies: finely crushed to form the base and add rich chocolate cookie flavor
  • 5-6 oz cream cheese (softened): binds the crushed cookies and creates a creamy cheesecake texture
  • 10-12 oz chocolate of choice (dark, milk, white, or candy melts): forms a smooth, flavorful coating
  • Optional decorations (sprinkles, crushed Oreos, chopped nuts, etc.): adds visual appeal and extra texture

Instructions

  1. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and set it aside.
  2. Crush the Oreo cookies in a food processor until finely ground. Alternatively, use a zip-top bag and rolling pin.
  3. Add softened cream cheese to the crushed Oreos and blend until smooth. Add more cream cheese if the mixture is too dry.
  4. Scoop and roll the mixture into 1-inch balls. Place them on the prepared cookie sheet.
  5. Chill the Oreo balls in the refrigerator for 15–20 minutes to firm up.
  6. While chilling, melt the chocolate using a double boiler or in the microwave in 20-second increments, stirring in between.
  7. Dip each chilled Oreo ball into the melted chocolate, coating evenly. Use a fork to lift and gently tap off excess chocolate.
  8. Return the coated balls to the parchment-lined tray and decorate immediately with desired toppings.
  9. Chill the decorated Oreo balls for another 10–15 minutes to set the chocolate before serving.

Notes

  • Use bar chocolate for a smoother coating instead of chocolate chips, which contain stabilizers.
  • If your Oreo mixture is crumbly, add cream cheese in ½ oz increments until it holds together.
  • Store Oreo Cookie Balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
  • Freeze for up to 3 months after flash-freezing on a tray for 1–2 hours.
