Description

Pecan Pie Brownies combine a rich, fudgy chocolate brownie base with a gooey, buttery pecan pie topping. This indulgent dessert delivers the perfect balance of chewy, crunchy, and sweet flavors, making it ideal for holidays, gatherings, or anytime you crave a decadent treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups pecans, coarsely chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan. Line with parchment paper for easy removal.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together 1 cup melted butter and 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Add 4 eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
  4. Sift in 1 cup flour, 1 cup cocoa powder, and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Mix gently until just combined.
  5. Spread the brownie batter evenly into the prepared pan and bake for 20–25 minutes until a toothpick shows moist crumbs.
  6. While baking, prepare the topping by whisking 1 cup corn syrup, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 3 eggs, 2 tablespoons melted butter, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
  7. Stir in 2 cups chopped pecans until evenly coated.
  8. Remove the partially baked brownies from the oven and let cool slightly.
  9. Pour the pecan mixture evenly over the brownie layer.
  10. Return to the oven and bake for another 25–30 minutes until the topping is set and golden.
  11. Allow to cool completely before slicing into squares and serving.

Notes

  • Do not overmix the brownie batter to keep the texture fudgy.
  • Let the brownies cool fully before cutting for clean layers.
  • Use room temperature eggs for smoother mixing.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
  • Warm slightly before serving for a gooey texture.
