Description

Peppermint Oreo Truffle Balls are a festive no-bake dessert perfect for the holiday season. With a creamy Oreo and cream cheese center, a hidden peppermint kiss, and a chocolate coating topped with crushed candy canes, these treats are both delicious and photogenic.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups crushed Oreos (filling removed)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup crushed peppermints, divided
  • 32 peppermint white chocolate kisses, unwrapped
  • 10 oz milk chocolate melting wafers
  • 10 oz white chocolate melting wafers

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment or wax paper and set aside.
  2. Beat the cream cheese until light and fluffy, then mix in the vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Stir in half of the crushed peppermints, then add the crushed Oreos and mix until well combined.
  4. Using a 1-inch cookie scoop, scoop out a portion of the mixture. Press a peppermint kiss into the center and roll into a ball.
  5. Place each ball onto the prepared baking sheet and repeat until all the mixture is used.
  6. Chill the balls in the refrigerator for 30 minutes until firm.
  7. Melt the white and milk chocolate wafers in separate bowls in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  8. Dip each chilled ball into the melted chocolate using a fork, then return to the tray.
  9. Drizzle the dipped truffles with contrasting chocolate and sprinkle immediately with the remaining crushed peppermint.
  10. Let the truffles cool and set completely before serving.
