Description

These Pizza Roses for Valentine’s Day are a creative, romantic twist on classic pizza, baked into rose-shaped appetizers using pizza dough, marinara sauce, mozzarella, and pepperoni. Perfect for a quick date-night treat or Valentine’s Day celebration.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can pizza dough: forms the base and structure of the roses
  • 1/3 cup marinara sauce: adds tangy flavor and moisture
  • 6 slices mozzarella cheese: provides melty, creamy texture
  • 1824 slices pepperoni: adds savory, spicy kick
  • Non-stick spray or butter: to grease muffin tin

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a 6-cup muffin tin with non-stick spray or butter.
  2. Roll out pizza dough on a clean surface into a rectangle.
  3. Using a pizza cutter, slice the dough into six equal long horizontal strips.
  4. Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce over each strip, adjusting the amount to your taste.
  5. Place slices of mozzarella evenly on top of the sauce on each strip.
  6. Arrange 3–4 slices of pepperoni along each strip, ensuring half of each slice hangs off the top edge.
  7. Carefully roll each strip from one end to the other, forming a rose shape.
  8. Place each rolled strip into a greased muffin tin compartment.
  9. Bake for 15 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and cheese is melted.
  10. Allow to cool for a few minutes before removing and serving.

Notes

  • Use parchment paper liners for easier removal and cleanup.
  • Don’t overfill with sauce to avoid soggy dough.
  • Try adding fresh basil or red pepper flakes for a flavor boost.
  • Perfect with a side of garlic dip or ranch.
