Ingredients
Scale
For the Crescents:
- 1 can (8 ounces) refrigerated crescent rolls
- 1/2 cup canned pumpkin puree
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar, packed
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Maple Glaze:
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
- 1–2 teaspoons milk (as needed for desired consistency)
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C). Make sure to line a baking sheet with parchment paper or use a silicone baking mat. This will keep your crescents from sticking and make cleanup a breeze.
- Prepare the Pumpkin Filling: In a small bowl, mix together the pumpkin puree, brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cloves, and vanilla extract until everything is well combined. The filling should smell like autumn in a bowl!
- Assemble the Crescents: Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into 8 triangles. Place a heaping teaspoon of the pumpkin filling onto the wide end of each triangle. Carefully roll up each triangle, starting from the wide end and rolling towards the point. Don’t worry if some of the filling peeks out – that just means it’s going to be extra delicious!
- Bake the Crescents: Place the crescents on the prepared baking sheet and pop them in the preheated oven. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until they’re golden brown and perfectly cooked through. Once done, let them cool slightly on the baking sheet.
- Prepare the Maple Glaze: While the crescents are cooling, it’s time to make the glaze! In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, maple syrup, and milk (add milk gradually until you reach the desired consistency). The glaze should be smooth and pourable.
- Glaze the Crescents: Drizzle the maple glaze over the warm Pumpkin Pie Crescents using a spoon or piping bag. Be as generous as you like – the glaze is what takes these crescents to the next level!
- Serve and Enjoy!: Serve these warm, gooey, and sweet crescents with extra maple glaze on the side if desired. They’re best enjoyed fresh from the oven, but you can store leftovers in an airtight container (if there are any!).
Notes
- Make-Ahead Friendly: You can assemble the crescents ahead of time and pop them in the fridge. When you’re ready, bake them fresh for a quick dessert or snack!
- Spice It Up: If you love extra spice, feel free to add a pinch more of cinnamon or even try a dash of allspice to the filling for extra warmth.
- Pumpkin Alternatives: Don’t have pumpkin puree? Sweet potato or butternut squash puree works well too!
- Maple Syrup Substitute: If maple syrup isn’t handy, try using honey or a dash of vanilla in the glaze.
