Description
Slow Cooker Garlic Butter Beef Bites is an easy, hearty meal made with tender beef stew meat, baby potatoes, garlic, and butter. Perfect for busy weeknights and beginner cooks.
Ingredients
- Beef stew meat – about 2 pounds
- Baby Yukon gold potatoes – around 1.5 pounds
- Butter – 1/2 cup, cut into pads
- Garlic – 4 cloves, chopped or pre-minced
- Seasoned salt – 1 teaspoon
- Onion powder – 1 teaspoon
- Garlic powder – 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper – 1/2 teaspoon
- Non-stick cooking spray
Instructions
- Spray the inside of your slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray. Place the beef stew meat on one half and the baby potatoes on the other half, keeping them separate.
- Sprinkle the seasoned salt, onion powder, garlic powder, pepper, and chopped garlic evenly over both beef and potatoes. Gently toss each side to coat evenly.
- Distribute the pads of butter over both the beef and the potatoes.
- Cover the slow cooker with the lid and cook on low for 6–8 hours, or until the beef is tender and the potatoes are cooked through.
Notes
- If potatoes are overcooked, reduce the cooking time next time or use larger chunks.
- Use a Dutch oven at 300°F for 3–4 hours if you don’t have a slow cooker.
- Prep ingredients the night before to save time in the morning.
- You can substitute butter with olive oil or plant-based alternatives.
