Description

These slow cooker kielbasa bites are an easy, flavorful appetizer or dinner option made with a sweet and savory sauce using BBQ, chili sauce, and grape jelly.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds kielbasa (up to 3 pounds)
  • 12 ounces chili sauce (1 jar)
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce (use your favorite)
  • 1 cup grape jelly
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. Spray the slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.
  2. Slice the kielbasa into bite-sized pieces and place them in the prepared slow cooker.
  3. In a bowl, mix chili sauce, barbecue sauce, grape jelly, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder until well combined.
  4. Pour the sauce mixture over the kielbasa and stir to coat evenly.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours or on high for 2 to 3 hours, until the kielbasa is heated through and the sauce is bubbling slightly.
  6. Stir gently before serving to coat the kielbasa evenly with sauce.

Notes

  • You can prepare the kielbasa and sauce up to 2 days in advance and store them separately until ready to cook.
  • If the sauce is too thick, add a tablespoon of water. If too thin, cook uncovered for the last 15 minutes to reduce.
  • This recipe can also be made in a saucepan over low heat on the stove.
  • Freeze leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 months.
