Description
These slow cooker kielbasa bites are an easy, flavorful appetizer or dinner option made with a sweet and savory sauce using BBQ, chili sauce, and grape jelly.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds kielbasa (up to 3 pounds)
- 12 ounces chili sauce (1 jar)
- 1 cup barbecue sauce (use your favorite)
- 1 cup grape jelly
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
Instructions
- Spray the slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.
- Slice the kielbasa into bite-sized pieces and place them in the prepared slow cooker.
- In a bowl, mix chili sauce, barbecue sauce, grape jelly, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder until well combined.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the kielbasa and stir to coat evenly.
- Cover and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours or on high for 2 to 3 hours, until the kielbasa is heated through and the sauce is bubbling slightly.
- Stir gently before serving to coat the kielbasa evenly with sauce.
Notes
- You can prepare the kielbasa and sauce up to 2 days in advance and store them separately until ready to cook.
- If the sauce is too thick, add a tablespoon of water. If too thin, cook uncovered for the last 15 minutes to reduce.
- This recipe can also be made in a saucepan over low heat on the stove.
- Freeze leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 months.
