Description

Snowman Oreo Balls are festive, no-bake holiday treats made with crushed Oreo cookies and cream cheese, dipped in white chocolate, and decorated to look like adorable snowmen. These kid-friendly truffles are perfect for Christmas parties, gifting, or as a fun family activity during the holiday season.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 18.12 oz Oreo Cookies (about 45 cookies): base for the truffle, providing rich chocolate flavor and texture
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened: binds the cookie crumbs into a smooth, creamy filling
  • 10 oz white candy melts, divided: used for coating the truffles and attaching decorations
  • 12 mini Oreo cookies, halved: base of the snowman hats
  • 24 Rolo chocolates: top of the snowman hats, adds a chewy caramel center
  • Snowman sprinkle mix: for decorating the face (eyes, nose, smile)
  • Holly sprinkle mix (optional): for festive hat decoration

Instructions

  1. Line a baking tray with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. Add Oreo cookies to a food processor and blend into fine crumbs.
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
  4. Add Oreo crumbs to the cream cheese and mix until fully combined.
  5. Use a 1.5-inch cookie scoop to form balls. Roll each one smooth and place on the tray.
  6. Refrigerate the Oreo balls for 2 hours to firm up.
  7. Melt 1/4 cup of candy melts. Dab a small amount on each mini Oreo half and press a Rolo on top to form hats. Let set.
  8. Melt remaining white candy melts in a microwave or double boiler until smooth.
  9. Dip each chilled Oreo ball into melted candy using a fork. Tap to remove excess and place back on the tray.
  10. Quickly decorate each with snowman face sprinkles (eyes, nose, mouth) before the coating sets.
  11. Add the Oreo-Rolo hat on top. Use extra melted candy as glue if needed. Hold briefly to secure.
  12. Allow all snowman balls to set completely for about 15 minutes. Store in the fridge until ready to serve.

Notes

  • Use regular Oreos, not Double Stuf, to avoid excess moisture in the mix.
  • Let cream cheese come to room temperature for easy blending.
  • Decorate while the coating is still soft so sprinkles stick properly.
  • You can freeze these for up to 2 months and thaw in the fridge before serving.
