Ingredients
Scale
- 5 cups frozen strawberries
- 1 cup fresh strawberries
- 1/2 lime, freshly juiced (about 1 tablespoon lime juice)
- 1 cup white rum or coconut rum
- 1/4 cup simple syrup
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for simple syrup)
- 1/2 cup water (for simple syrup)
- Optional garnish: 2 fresh strawberries
- Optional garnish: 2 tablespoons whipped cream
Instructions
- Prepare the simple syrup by combining 1/2 cup granulated sugar and 1/2 cup water in a small saucepan. Heat over medium heat while stirring until the sugar fully dissolves, about 8–10 minutes. Remove from heat and allow the syrup to cool completely.
- Add 5 cups frozen strawberries and 1 cup fresh strawberries to a high-speed blender.
- Pour in 1 cup white rum and 1/4 cup cooled simple syrup.
- Squeeze the juice from 1/2 lime (about 1 tablespoon) into the blender to add fresh citrus flavor.
- Blend all ingredients on high speed for about 30–45 seconds until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy.
- Taste the mixture and adjust sweetness if needed by adding an additional 1–2 teaspoons of simple syrup.
- Pour the Strawberry Daiquiri into chilled cocktail glasses.
- Garnish with fresh strawberries or whipped cream if desired and serve immediately.
Notes
- Do not add ice because it can dilute the strawberry flavor and make the drink watery.
- If the daiquiri is too thick, add 1–2 tablespoons of rum or lime juice and blend again.
- If the mixture is too thin, add 1/2 to 1 cup additional frozen strawberries to thicken it.
- For a non-alcoholic version, omit the rum and replace it with 1/2 cup cold water or strawberry juice.
- You can substitute other fruits such as mango or pineapple for a tropical variation.
- Chill the serving glasses in the freezer for 10 minutes before serving for the best frozen texture.
