Description

This Strawberry Daiquiri is a refreshing frozen cocktail made with sweet strawberries, fresh lime juice, white rum, and simple syrup. Blended until smooth and creamy, it delivers a vibrant fruity flavor with the perfect balance of sweetness and citrus. Ideal for summer gatherings, happy hour, or special occasions, this easy blended drink requires only a few ingredients and comes together in minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 5 cups frozen strawberries
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries
  • 1/2 lime, freshly juiced (about 1 tablespoon lime juice)
  • 1 cup white rum or coconut rum
  • 1/4 cup simple syrup
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for simple syrup)
  • 1/2 cup water (for simple syrup)
  • Optional garnish: 2 fresh strawberries
  • Optional garnish: 2 tablespoons whipped cream

Instructions

  1. Prepare the simple syrup by combining 1/2 cup granulated sugar and 1/2 cup water in a small saucepan. Heat over medium heat while stirring until the sugar fully dissolves, about 8–10 minutes. Remove from heat and allow the syrup to cool completely.
  2. Add 5 cups frozen strawberries and 1 cup fresh strawberries to a high-speed blender.
  3. Pour in 1 cup white rum and 1/4 cup cooled simple syrup.
  4. Squeeze the juice from 1/2 lime (about 1 tablespoon) into the blender to add fresh citrus flavor.
  5. Blend all ingredients on high speed for about 30–45 seconds until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy.
  6. Taste the mixture and adjust sweetness if needed by adding an additional 1–2 teaspoons of simple syrup.
  7. Pour the Strawberry Daiquiri into chilled cocktail glasses.
  8. Garnish with fresh strawberries or whipped cream if desired and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Do not add ice because it can dilute the strawberry flavor and make the drink watery.
  • If the daiquiri is too thick, add 1–2 tablespoons of rum or lime juice and blend again.
  • If the mixture is too thin, add 1/2 to 1 cup additional frozen strawberries to thicken it.
  • For a non-alcoholic version, omit the rum and replace it with 1/2 cup cold water or strawberry juice.
  • You can substitute other fruits such as mango or pineapple for a tropical variation.
  • Chill the serving glasses in the freezer for 10 minutes before serving for the best frozen texture.
